Florida Early Juvenile Expungement
Clear a juvenile record between 18 and 21.
Florida erases most juvenile records automatically at 21. If you are between 18 and 21 and have stayed out of trouble for five years, you do not have to wait — you can ask for it early.
- Court petition
- Not required
- Lifetime relief
- Preserved
- FDLE fee
- $75
Who this fits
You are 18, 19, or 20, your record is from juvenile court, and you have not been charged with anything in five years.
What it actually does to your record
The juvenile record is expunged years before it would have cleared on its own.
Eligibility is about your whole record
The most common reason applications fail is not the case being cleared — it is a different case entirely. A prior adjudication of guilt anywhere in Florida, including DUI or driving while license suspended, can close this route before it starts. Our screening checks your whole picture, not just the arrest you are focused on.
Questions about early juvenile expungement
Who qualifies for early juvenile expungement in Florida?
You are 18, 19, or 20, your record is from juvenile court, and you have not been charged with anything in five years. This relief is governed by § 943.0515(1)(b)2, Fla. Stat.. Eligibility also depends on your record as a whole — a prior adjudication of guilt in any case, in any county, can close this route even when the case you want cleared looks clean.
Does early juvenile expungement require a court hearing?
No. This pathway is handled administratively through FDLE — there is no petition to file and no judge involved. That makes it substantially faster than court-ordered sealing or expungement.
Does early juvenile expungement use up my one-in-a-lifetime relief?
No. This is one of the Florida pathways that does NOT consume your single court-ordered sealing or expungement. If you qualify here, you keep that allowance available for a different record later — which is a significant advantage most people do not know about.
What does early juvenile expungement cost?
FDLE charges a non-refundable $75 processing fee, paid by money order or check. You will also pay the clerk of court for certified dispositions, and possibly a fingerprinting fee. Our preparation fee is separate and disclosed up front.
